SUK4 Part2 Henry Rhetoric Paragraph

Whoa, Dude, Are We Inside a Computer Right Now?!

I find the text and arguments convincing. The author builds credibility little by little by appropriate usage of rhetorical appeals.
Strong appeal to authority - Rich Terrile - the director of the Center for Evolutionary Computation and Automated Design at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory - who is currently writing an as-yet-untitled book about the subject.--->ethos
The example of Moore’s Law, which states that computing power doubles roughly every two years, makes us think of the rapid-growing advances in technology we have been able to see and enjoy during a decade or two of our conscious life. --->pathos
+Right now the fastest NASA supercomputers are cranking away at about double the speed of the human brain. --->logos
+Explanation of the possibility of simulation the world on the example of  another computer game - Grand Theft Auto IV - + particles in quantrum mechanics. --->logos - the readers are inclined to except an argument, even though it could be something completely new to them.
The Sims that each of us has played probably helps us get an idea of topic.--->pathos
As long as our consciousness it the product of a very sophisticated architecture within the human brain, then it could be assumed that at some point it can be simulated by a computer, or in other words, replicated. ---> this reminds me of artificial intelligence, which gives sense to an argument. --->pathos
Moreover, the language is simple; the author doesn't press. He leaves the readers thinking over the topic.

SUK4 Part 1 Hendrik PSA against After-Death Avatars

After-death avatar?
Life after death?
It is all lie!
People, please, don’t fool yourself!
Raking up the past will not do good to anyone.
No computer programme will ever substitute your beloved person.
Let the past go and let best memories warm your heart.

SUK4 Part2 Henry INTRODUCTION CAJ

Augmented reality (AR) is not a futuristic dream anymore, it is here now, it is increasingly penetrating every sphere of our life! That's why this topic has caught my attention. Augmented reality is cutting-edge technology that allows for a digitally enhanced view of the real world, connecting you with more meaningful content in your everyday life. This new technology blurs the line between what's real and what's computer-generated by enhancing what we see, hear, feel and smell. On the spectrum between virtual reality, which creates immersive, computer-generated environments, and the real world, augmented reality is closer to the real world. Augmented reality adds graphics, sounds, haptic feedback and smell to the natural world as it exists. Both video games and cell phones are driving the development of augmented reality. Everyone from tourists, to soldiers, to someone looking for the closest subway stop can now benefit from the ability to place computer-generated graphics in their field of vision. Augmented reality is changing the way we view the world - or at least the way its users see the world. Augmented reality has many applications, and many areas can benefit from the use of AR technology. AR was first used for military, industrial, and medical applications, but was soon applied to commercial and entertainment areas. Augmented reality helps us to perceive the world to the greater extend. So I would like to draw your attention to some mind-blowing things augmented reality is about to bring into our lives.

SUK4 Part3 Melissa Inge A Day in the Life of Lisa

A Day in the Life of Lisa

Never in her life had Lisa felt herself so lonely and sad on the Valentine’s Day.  It wasn’t because of the unrequited love or the absence of love, as most of the people could assume. This was the day Lisa had to say goodbye to her true Ukrainian friends, whose company she had been enjoying all days long during the last half a year.  And now they were at the airport, an hour till the departure. They laughed a lot trying to hide the real feelings which were tearing each of them from inside. Everything could be read in their eyes but everyone pretended not to notice it being on the verge of crying.

Several minutes till the departure. Friends hugged one another so tightly as never before putting all their emotions into this embrace. Afterwards Lisa headed in one direction and her friends went on board of the plane. No one dared to turn back feeling the sour and bitter tears bursting out. Lisa was walking back to her apartment alone. She was almost running trying to escape from her thoughts. She felt herself so lonely and helpless. She knew that the things wouldn’t be the same way they used to.  Then, out of a clear blue sky, Lisa felt a flow of energy and started cleaning her apartment and organising thoughts in her head. Now she was confident of herself and that everything would be great. Lisa realised that she was the only master of her life.
